Malcolm-Jamal Warner's fellow Nick at Nite alum Candace Cameron Bure is opening up about The Cosby Show alum's unexpected death at 54.
The Full House star took to Instagram after news of Warner's passing broke, uploading an old childhood headshot of the late actor with his birth and death years edited over top alongside a thoughtful tribute for the man, who reportedly drowned in a high current while on vacation in Costa Rica.
"So sad to hear the news of @malcolmjamalwar's passing," the 49-year-old wrote. "Our paths crossed a few times and he was always so kind, and so sweet. He will be very missed."
"He was sitcom royalty," she added.

"Oh no...!! He was such a sweetheart, and such a talent! 🙏🕊," another Nick at Nite alum, The Wonder Years' Danica McKellar, wrote in response.
Countless fans flooded her comments, too, to mourn the actor.
"I'm shocked. So sad," one replied, while another reveled in their "Happy childhood memories."
"My heart goes out to all who knew and love him," they added.
"Praying for his family. May he rest in peace," someone else agreed.
"So so so sad," somebody else emphasized. "I grew up watching him. Felt like family :(."
