Beyoncé fans await her upcoming album: Everything we know about 'Act III' so far
After a historic "Act II" run, Beyoncé fans are eagerly watching for any clues hinting at her next unannounced album.
This summer, Beyoncé concluded her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour in conjunction with her eighth studio alum, "Cowboy Carter." The 32-stadium stint spanned the U.S. and Europe and became the highest grossing country music tour of all time, surpassing $400 million in earnings.
Soon after the tour wrapped in July, fans quickly shifted gears in anticipation of her "Act III" rollout.
In July 2022, Beyoncé released her seventh studio album "Renaissance." The project earned her four Grammys, including best dance/electronic music album, and made her the most decorated artist in the awards' history. She later announced the album was the first part of a three-act project, making "Cowboy Carter" Act 2.
Here's everything to know about the upcoming project so far, and what might be in the works.
The next album could be a rock album
After releasing albums in the country and dance categories, there has been growing speculation that the last project in the trilogy could be a rock album. Beyoncé only fueled this idea by dressing as funk-rock diva Betty Davis for Halloween. And an ad for her latest Levi's jeans collection has only fanned the flames of speculation.
Fans might recall that Beyoncé unveiled the fourth chapter of her Levi's campaign, titled "The Denim Cowboy," in August. The latest ad opened with her on horseback and showcases highlights from her past collections with the denim powerhouse. Toward the end of the video, Beyoncé wore the latest collection, a bedazzled denim jacket paired with matching jeans, before hopping on the back of a motorcycle.

Fans were thrilled not only by the new look — reminiscent of the outfits worn during her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour — but also took the motorcycle ride as a clue further pointing to rock for her unannounced "Act III" album.
There will likely be another tour, and Beyoncé is bound to add a London stop
On the heels of her last show at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour, Beyoncé dropped a hint on Instagram.
In a post, Beyoncé thanked Paul McCartney for writing his 1968 song "Blackbird," which she covers on her eighth studio album and performs on tour. She wrote: "Thank you, Sir Paul McCartney, for writing one of the best songs ever made. Every time I sing it I feel so honored. And it is a full circle moment to wear your beautiful daughter's design. Thank you, London, for creating unforgettable memories for me and my family."
She continued: "Holla at 'ya when I come on tour again!"
The caption instantly sent the Beehive buzzing, with one fan commenting, "Oh, it's confirmed!" Another wrote, "Tour AGAIN!! Saving my Bey dollars now."
When Beyoncé could release 'Act III'
Beyoncé released "Renaissance" on July 29, 2022 — a Friday. "Cowboy Carter" also dropped on a Friday, just a few months shy of two years later, on March 29, 2024. Following this pattern, her next album could also land on the 29th of the month and on a Friday. The next time this pattern occurs would be May 29, 2026, a little over two years after her last release.
If she follows her usual rollout strategy, the announcement would likely come about six to seven weeks prior, usually tied to major cultural moments or teasers.
However, this is just one theory. Beyoncé loves to make announcements during major events, and there are many throughout the year. If the timing between each album holds for this final act, an announcement could come as early as September or October — about 20 months after her eighth studio album's release.
