Megan Fox got candid about her postpartum experience after welcoming her daughter with MGK, formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly.
While attending a screening of her cult-classic movie Jennifer's Body at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 25, the Subservience star, 39, shared that she has been experiencing some postpartum struggles after giving birth to Saga Blade earlier this year.
"First of all, I just want to say I just had a baby, and I have a lot of brain fog," Fox told the audience during a panel conversation, per a TikTok shared by the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
She continued, joking, "I haven't slept in seven months. So if I repeat myself, I'm sorry. Just interrupt me and tell me I'm off track."
The actress went on to reveal that she "really resonated" with the script for Jennifer's Body — particularly for her character's transformation into a monster. She explained, saying, "there's something about that, whether it's perceived or not."
"I felt like I was persecuted at that time in my career, and I was struggling a lot with fame and kind of traumatized by fame," she explained.
"I resonated with those deeper layers of before she becomes a monster, she's a teenage girl that gets sacrificed for somebody else's gain. And that very much resonated because that's kind of how I came into this industry," she added.
For the event, the actress fully embraced the theme, donning a corset adorned with red beaded jewels that shimmered as she walked — seemingly evoking the look of dripping blood. She shared the look on Instagram, posting a video of herself strutting into the screening.
"Mommy had a thing last night 🍼🍼🍑🤷🏻♀️," Fox cheekily wrote over the clip.
It was her first appearance since welcoming Saga Blade with the musician earlier this year. Fox is also mom to sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 9, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green.
Fox shared that she and MGK, who she was then engaged to at the time, were expecting their first child in November 2024. Weeks later, the pair broke up, with a source telling PEOPLE that Fox was "blindsided" by their split.
However, a source told PEOPLE last week that the pair — who first connected in 2020 on the set of the film, Midnight in the Switchgrass and got engaged in 2022 — have been acting like a couple again.
"They're together often, but he's going on tour soon," said the source, who added that it's unclear if Fox will be joining him on the road.
"He spends pretty much every night at her house with the baby, and they act like a couple, but they haven't put a label on it or made anything official," the insider added.
Another source noted that baby Saga has brought the two closer together. "Megan's very happy with how he's stepped up for both her and the baby," the insider shared. "While they still have separate homes, they spend a lot of time together as a family. They're putting the baby first, and it's brought them closer in many ways."
