A source tells PEOPLE the pair have "both matured" and things between them are "surprisingly peaceful"
The former couple, who share daughter Dream Kardashian, are "on good terms" a second source says
After years of public ups and downs, Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna have quietly turned a corner.
"Rob and Angela are on good terms and things are going great," a source tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Kardashian, 38, and Chyna, 37, began dating in early 2016 and welcomed their daughter, Dream Kardashian, 8, later that year. Their whirlwind romance and very public breakup in 2017 dominated headlines at the time, but sources say their dynamic has shifted dramatically in recent years as they've grown individually and learned to prioritize their daughter above all else.

The "Can't See Me" rapper sued the Kardashian family in 2017 for allegedly damaging her brand and verbally and physically abusing her. She claimed that the family's influence likely resulted in the cancellation of her reality TV series, Rob & Chyna. The jury ultimately resolved the case in the Kardashians' favor and did not award damages to Chyna.
In 2017, Rob leaked nude photos of Chyna on Instagram. Chyna filed a lawsuit against him, but in June 2022, PEOPLE confirmed that the pair did not move forward with the revenge porn lawsuit and resolved the issue out of court.
A second source says that Kardashian's relationship with the model and actress— who now goes by her birth name, Angela White — "is surprisingly peaceful. They have both matured and are focused on what's best for Dream."
Chyna welcomed her first child, son King Cairo, in 2012 with her then-boyfriend Tyga, 35. Following his birth, the couple got engaged before ultimately splitting in 2014.
"King is definitely protective of Dream, and Dream of King," Chyna told PEOPLE exclusively in August. "He loves Dream. He loves to annoy her. He literally gets a kick out of it, but it's so funny and so cute because growing up, I'm an only child, so to watch them I'm like, 'Dang, this is what I missed out on.'"

"Even though some of the stuff that they do to each other is so hilarious to me, I'm like, 'You can't do that or you can't say that.' In the back of my mind, I'm like, 'Oh, my gosh.' And I'm a parent. And it's so funny because growing up, you would think like, 'Oh, parents are all strict and stuff.' The whole time they probably were feeling the same way I'm feeling, like goofy," she said with a laugh.
Meanwhile, Chyna showed love to Rob earlier this month when she tagged her ex in an Instagram post on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
The post featured several images of Chyna posing in an elaborate white ensemble in front of a white Ferrari on the side of the road.
"This love is forever ♾️ @robkardashianofficial," she captioned the post.
Despite reconciliation rumor speculation in the comments of the post, a source told PEOPLE at the time that the exes are not back together.
