Aziz Ansari has a lot of fond memories from his days on Parks and Recreation, but his favorite moments happened behind the scenes, when things got truly ridiculous.

"I started watching your podcast and Park's clips started coming on YouTube, and when I watch it sometimes I just think about us making it, and it's funnier for me to watch the bloopers 'cause that feels more like my experience," the Good Fortune actor told his former Parks and Recreation costar Amy Poehler on her Good Hang podcast.

The Emmy winner admitted that he loved "trying to see if I could get someone to break," which was harder than he expected with a cast of accomplished comedians and actors.

"You're pretty good," Ansari told Poehler, adding, "Offerman's pretty high up on that list."

The Saturday Night Live alum agreed, noting that their costar Nick Offerman "never cracked up."

While he didn't really succeed in getting Offerman to lose it during shooting, Ansari did claim that the actor's famously lush mustache eventually betrayed him.

"There was a couple of times where I got — like he didn't laugh, but I think his mustache may have went up a little bit," Ansari said. "I remember one thing that you wrote, it was an episode you wrote where I was doing that puppy voice and the puppy started licking at his mustache."

The scene, from the season 2 episode "Telethon," features Leslie Knope (Poehler), Tom Haverford (Ansari), and April Ludgate (Aubrey Plaza) playing with a pup that Andy Dwyer (Chris Pratt) brought to the office when Ron Swanson (Offerman) comes in to tell them that dogs aren't allowed. In an attempt to persuade Ron to keep the animal, Tom brings it to Ron and puts on his "puppy voice."

"And I was like, 'Hi, Mr. Swanson. I like your mustache. I'm just a little puppy,'" Ansari recalled to Poehler. "And I think it almost got him."

A laughing Poehler praised the "setup" of Parks and Recreation, which allowed its cast to "play around" and "try your stuff," which led to memorable moments like Ansari and Retta's iconic "Treat yo self" joke, which has become a cultural phenomenon.

Ansari recalled another instance of the cast goofing around, remembering an elaborate dance sequence he performed with Retta for a scene in the season 6 episode "Recall Vote," in which Tom and Donna Meagle (Retta) celebrated Ron landing a feature in a weekly lifestyle email titled Bloosh.

"So me and Retta start just going, 'Ron's in Bloosh, Ron's in Bloosh,' and then I jump on the table, and me and Retta's dancing is getting crazier and crazier, and we're just dancing all over, doing all the crazy stuff. And then they showed the scene as it aired, and it was just like 'Ron's in Bloosh' and it cut [off]," he quipped. "That's also my favorite scene."

Ansari told Entertainment Weekly last month that he'd be down to reunite with his costars from the beloved sitcom, which ran from 2009 until 2015. "I would love to spend time with anybody from Parks — even if the show was terrible, and we just got a decent-enough check," he said, "but we got to spend time together."
