Hollywood brothers Alec Baldwin and Stephen Baldwin were involved in a violent car crash in New York state, which saw the former smash his wife Hilaria Baldwin's vehicle into a tree.

The siblings were traveling home Monday in Hilaria's white Range Rover, following a Hamptons Film Festival event in the eastern portion of the state. Alec shared a video to Instagram updating his followers on what happened, providing details of the crash that left him and his brother uninjured, he said.

"I'm fine, my brother Stephen was out visiting me on Long Island, we spent the weekend out there for the film festival," the 67-year-old said in the clip.

He alleged that a "guy cut me off" while driving a "garbage truck the size of a whale" and "taking away material from construction or something. It was the biggest garbage truck I've ever seen."

Alec said that, to avoid hitting the vehicle, he drove into a tree.

"I hit a big fat tree, and crushed my car, my wife's car," he continued, saying that "it's all fine" before thanking the East Hampton Town Police Department for responding to the scene.

"My wife's car is pretty smashed up," he added, while maintaining that he's "still so proud of" of Hilaria for her recent round of performances before being eliminated from *Dancing With the Stars*.

"I love you more than anything," he concluded.

A representative for Stephen told ** that the actor "is doing fine and is grateful no one was injured. He appreciates the concern and he can confirm that he and Alec are both safe and well."

In a statement provided to EW on Tuesday, East Hampton police said they "responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 27, Pantigo Road near Cross Highway" around noon Monday. "A white 2023 Range Rover, operated by Alec Baldwin, with passenger Stephen Baldwin, was found to have struck a tree on the Eastbound shoulder of the roadway while avoiding the turning action of a 2020 Mack commercial truck, registered to National Waste Services out of Bay Shore, NY."

The statement added, "There were no injuries reported or summons issued and the contributing factors to the accident were found to be a reaction to an uninvolved vehicle and the slippery and wet roadway conditions."**

In addition to praising his wife's appearance on *DWTS* season 34, Alec himself showed up during rehearsal footage from the program on an earlier episode.

"This was her life until she got injured, so she's just going to give it everything she has," he said in the clips, which debuted in September. "And I'm proud of her, very proud of her."**

Later, Alec approached Hilaria and her dancing partner, Gleb Savchenko, and asked to "cut in" to the practice. While Hilaria naturally assumed Alec wanted to dance with her, her husband jokingly took hold of Savchenko instead.
