Shatner's post comes hours after TMZ reported that the actor had been rushed to the hospital on Sept. 24 after suffering a medical emergency. The outlet wrote that per Shatner's agent, Harry Gold, he experienced "an issue with his blood sugar" while in his Los Angeles home, and called emergency service workers as a precaution. He was then transported to a local hospital where he was checked out before being sent home.
Shatner, known for helming Starship Enterprise as Captain James T. Kirk, famously keeps an active lifestyle despite his age. In 2021, he made history as the oldest man ever to go into space when he flew on Blue Origin's NS-18 Mission at the age of 90.
