Bill Nye, known for his iconic science TV show, is the latest celebrity to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
However, amid his long-awaited induction, it wasn't the beloved "Science Guy" who had fans buzzing but rather an unexpected sighting of NBA star Jaylen Brown.
On Monday, the Hollywood Walk of Fame proudly honored the 69-year-old for his contributions to science education and entertainment.
In a statement shared by the organization on Instagram, it paid tribute to his extraordinary decades-long career, educating viewers through energetic experiments and one-of-a-kind humor.
"Known worldwide as 'The Science Guy,' Nye has dedicated his life to making science accessible and inspiring future generations to pursue discovery and innovation. This star represents his enduring contributions to education, entertainment and the advancement of scientific literacy," the post reads, alongside a photo of the TV personality with his famous bowtie as he sat beside his own Walk of Fame star.
While congratulations poured in for Nye's new achievement, fans couldn't help but wonder about Brown's presence at the ceremony.

"Jaylen Brown sighting?" one asked.
"What Are You Doing There, Jaylen?" a commenter questioned.
The same goes for another user who commented, "Wait, I'm sorry, how JB get here lmao."
"Is that Jaylen Brown? Lol," a fan wondered.
A commenter chimed in with similar thoughts, saying, "Dude, is that jaylen brown lmaooo."
Fans couldn't figure out the link between Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown and Bill Nye the Science Guy.
"Jaylen becoming Bill Nye's bff in just under a year," one said.
"JB supporting Bill Nye. Ya sure man, cool, okay," another noted.
Brown was among the guest speakers who delivered a speech at the ceremony, together with comedian Joel McHale and award-winning host Ross Shafer.
As the four-time NBA All-Star reflected on the life and legacy of Nye, he described him as a "bright spot in all of our days."
"Bill, this Walk of Fame is not just for an incredible career. It is also for the curiosity that you've sparked, the doors that you've opened and the mind you continue to inspire all over the globe," he mentioned in his speech.
Brown, a longtime fan of Nye, once tweeted about manifesting a chance to meet him.
Twenty days after his tweet went viral, he finally met the newly minted Walk of Fame inductee when Nye visited the NBA star during the Celtics' game at Capital One Arena in 2024.
During his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he revealed that he looked up to the legendary science host as a child.
According to him, Nye turned learning into something enjoyable and inspired his love for education.
